The Right to Vote & COVID-19 in Spokane County
This Monday, we will discuss and celebrate the 100th Anniversary of women gaining the right to vote with Secretary of State Kim Wyman and Spokane County Commissioner Mary Kuney. What progress have we made since then and what is left to be done?
Mary will also give us an update on how a large county like Spokane is managing as it reopens and faces a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
Kim is one of just two statewide elected Republicans on the West Coast and is responsible for overseeing the integrity of our elections. We’ll also talk with her about how our state’s mail in ballot experience can help the rest of the country, how our state has responded to potential cyberthreats and other efforts to ensure our elections are fair.
